BCHS Weekend Update - August 15, 2021
Good Sunday afternoon, BCHS Community!
I hope this message finds all of you well and excited to start the first full week of school tomorrow. Our first three days at BCHS were, as always, full of nerves and last-minute tweaks, but we had a great couple of days together to kick off our 2021-2022 school year!
Over the weekend, our BCHS Lady Tiger Soccer team beat McLean County in a 2-1 victory that featured goals by seniors Chloe Peterson and Sydney Tucker. This win kicks the season off to a 1-0 start, and we can’t wait to see more success as the season continues! If you didn’t have a chance to come out and see the action on Saturday, be sure to check it out on Breck Live and come on down to Tiger Field on Monday, August 23rd to cheer them on as they take on Butler County at 5:30 CT.
Looking ahead to more Tiger sports action, we have a full first week in store for everyone! Be sure to wish our teams good luck in their upcoming games:

Shifting to in-school matters, there are a few reminders to send out just to make sure everyone is on the same page for the upcoming week!
Remember that all students need to bring their badges every day for use on busses, at breakfast/lunch, to log onto Chromebooks, etc.
If a student has lost or does not have a badge, please fill out and submit this form to have a new one issued.
Next week will begin our enforcement of the new dress code policy, so all students need to come to BCHS dressed accordingly. Some highlights of the updated dress code are below, but click here for the full policy.
Shorts must be mid-thigh in length or longer
Hats may be worn, but no hoods are allowed while in the building
Clothes must not show cleavage, midriff (no belly shirts), or undergarments at any time
Clothes must not have to be adjusted (pulled up, down, to the side, etc.) to fit the dress code
Remember that students need to be sure to bring back their first day of school paperwork as soon as possible.
This includes the Chromebook checkout agreement that must be signed by a parent or guardian in order to utilize Chromebooks for the school year.
Be sure to sign up for Pep Club at the middle table at lunch!
Student drivers need to get a form from the middle table at lunch signed by a parent/guardian ASAP before being allowed to pay for and obtain a parking pass.
Lastly, I just want to say what an honor it is to be your principal! These first few days have been awesome, and I am so grateful for the amazing staff, incredible students, and incomparable community that I have the privilege to serve!
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me at the email below or by calling the high school at (270)756-3080.
Thanks, and have a great week!
