Earlier this week, Governor Andy Beshear recommended that no in-person classes take place in Kentucky until at least the third week of August. Following the Governor’s recommendation, the Breckinridge County Board of Education met this morning and approved a new school calendar for the 2020-21 school year. In-person classes in the Breckinridge County School District will start under an A/B schedule on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. The school district will operate under an A/B schedule through Friday, September 11, 2020. Our plan is to transition to a full five days a week, in-person class schedule on Monday, September 14, 2020, as long as it is deemed safe to do so.
CES Learning Community,
It is an absolute honor and privilege to begin my third year as Principal at CES. I love being a part of the Panther family and Custer community and I can’t wait for the 2020-2021 school year to begin! Our hardworking and committed staff are here to serve the CES learning community and to help ensure that all of our students achieve at their greatest potential. We understand the importance of a partnership between administrators, teachers, support staff, and the community. Working together allows our students and community to continue to BE BLUE and BRECK STRONG!
We invite you to register via the CES website for the SendIt text and email notification system and Class Dojo. There, you can receive newsletters, emails, and notifications of school closings or early dismissals. We also encourage you to volunteer at school. If you are interested in volunteering, please call our Family Resource Center at 756-3040. Parent volunteerism is vital to student success at CES.
Please know that my office is always open to my students, parents, teachers, staff, and learning community. If you ever need anything or just have questions, then please do not hesitate to contact me at 270-756-3040, or you may also reach me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Go Panthers!
Looking forward to an amazing year!
Renee Wright, Ed.S.
